BECOME A SUPPORTER

Support us to connect artists, businesses, fans and campaigners through the power of music to achieve positive change.

We believe that music has a crucial role to play in the fight to preserve our planet.

We are putting positive climate action at the heart of UK music.

We are supported by the entire UK music community reaching over 500m million music fans globally with our NO MUSIC ON A DEAD PLANET campaign since 2019.

We have gathered the support of thousands of artists for our work including Billie Eilish, Fontaines DC, The Last Dinner Party, IDLES and The London Symphony Orchestra.

In 2026, we will bring the positive power of our NO MUSIC ON A DEAD PLANET Movement into the UK gig scene via our Action Hubs, working with volunteers in their local music venues to partner with local campaigns that make a real difference in their towns and cities.

Who We Are

Music Declares Emergency was launched in 2019 by a group of artists and music industry professionals coming together through a shared concern for the planet. We have since become a UK charity and have a small paid team running our campaigns.

What Your Donation Will Support

Helping artists speak out. Supporting artists to use their platforms to speak out in support of urgent climate action through media advice, collaboration and via partnership with the NO MUSIC ON A DEAD PLANET Movement on their tours.

Helping fans take action. Through our partnership with Music Venue Trust we are developing the UK's first music focused Action hubs. Building on our work at festivals and arena shows, the hubs will work with local venues, artists, campaign groups and societies to use the power of fandom to deliver positive, tangible change in their areas.

2026 festival outreach. In 2025 we were present at more UK festivals than ever before, engaging with audiences and artists alike to strengthen the conversation around climate issues and focus on positive developments and opportunities in music and beyond. In 2026 we intend to go even further, ensuring our presence continues to put music at the heart of the climate conversation.

Impact

In our first 5 years we have had huge impact, with our climate messaging reaching over 553 million music fans, helping to normalise the call for urgent climate action globally.

We have helped power change in the UK music industry, our declaration is now supported by over 2,000 music businesses and 4,000 artists.

Our NO MUSIC ON A DEAD PLANET fan movement has over 18,000 members and is driving engagement in the issues through monthly climate action challenges and peer-to-peer conversations.
