RECRUITMENT: FESTIVALS COORDINATOR

Music Declares Emergency are looking for a capable, confident and enthusiastic Festival Team Coordinator to oversee our NO MUSIC ON A DEAD PLANET campaign stall at festivals across the UK this summer. The stalls will encourage festival goers to sign up to the NO MUSIC ON A DEAD PLANET movement and distribute information on the campaign alongside our hugely popular temporary tattoos.

This is a fantastic opportunity to represent an important and respected campaign and be on site at the UK’s best music festivals.

The successful applicant will manage all aspects of the stall and our volunteer teams for the following events:

British Summer Time (Hyde Park), Boomtown, Reading and Leeds, Forwards

Duties will include pre-event organisation, online volunteer training, stall set up and take down, volunteer management and co-ordination and reporting to the MDE core team post event.

This is a freelance position paid at £250 per event day and £150 per day for prep days. Mileage expenses will be paid for all travel.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of managing volunteer teams, a clear understanding of festival production and line management, understanding of the NO MUSIC ON A DEAD PLANET campaign and MDE’s aims and objectives and strong interpersonal skills.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable.
