TUTV

Launched in April 2021, Turn Up The Volume is where Music Declares Emergency bring together the music industry, artists, and fans for a week of launches, campaigns, and discussion around climate action, sustainability, and creating a better future. With a focus on positive action and inspiring stories, Turn Up The Volume has quickly become a global moment for Music Declares and our sister groups across the world to share our message.

With Earth Day at its centre, Turn Up The Volume has showcased the launch of the world’s first bioplastic vinyl with Evolution Music, delivered global engagement with our ‘Resolution Song’ release, highlighted net zero pledges from Ninja Tune and Beggars Group, partnered on the soft launch of funding powerhouse Earth Percent, and released the world’s first music fan survey with Glasgow University to research fan attitudes to sustainability.

We have put music at the heart of the climate conversation on front pages and across TV and computer screens across the world. With our core message #NOMUSICONADEADPLANET at its heart, 2022’s Turn Up The Volume attracted coverage from Australia to Austria and Burundi to Birmingham inviting millions of music fans across the world to become part of our ever growing family.

In Turn Up The Volume 2023, we launched our first ever audience-building campaign, Fan Club for Climate, with the support of IDLES, Enter Shikari, The Wombats, Odesza, Black Honey, OVO Hydro and more. We also brought the music industry together for a huge climate protest in central London alongside many other organisations, called The Big One - this protest saw up to 100,000 people take to the streets to call for action on climate change.
